A Love On Fire

Elizabeth and Teaner met in Stillwater, OK while attending Oklahoma State University. It was definitely love at first sight. I mean, how can a girl resist a dashingly handsome young firefighter?

When Elizabeth and I first started discussing wedding plans, I could tell she was an extremely organized, creative, knew-what-she-wanted, imaginative girl that loved her fiance and her family. She added numerous details in her wedding design that truly made their day unique.

The bride chose a color scheme of ivory, shades of pink, navy and gold. The tables were adorned with gold-beaded glass chargers and blue linen napkins that were tied with a petite gold ribbon. Gold stainless-steel flatware and wine glasses completed each place setting. Add the simple, but elegant, floral centerpieces placed in gold mercury glass and the table was a vision!

Wedding Centerpieces

The three-tiered, swirl embellished, white cake that sat atop a feathery champagne table linen was show-stopping. The perfectly placed pink roses accompanied by the leafy greenery made the cake pop from the other side of the room! Let's not forget the beautiful custom-made wooden Mr. & Mrs. Downey sign that adorned the top. Talk about a cake table made for a magazine!

The bride chose an ivory full-length lace gown embellished with silver crystals. The intricate lace work on the train of the dress really stood out against her floor-length lace veil. This dress was absolutely gorgeous but the bride was what made it stunning!

The bridesmaids wore a variety of long navy blue dresses that showcased each of their personalities. The guys suited up in black tuxedo's and created a crew to be reckoned with.

A Perfect Veil Shot

At the reception, guests danced the night away under the glowing lights of LOVE. There was a sorority chant, a fire-fighter garter removal, an OSU groom's cake and a dance crew that created all sorts of memories. They definitely know how to throw a party and a party it was!

Guests Have Fun Too!

While guests lined up and grabbed chopped flowers to toss, the bride and groom had a dance alone in the reception space to, "Cross My Heart." Upon their exit, the guests cheered loud and proud (OSU style) for the newly wedded couple as they made their way to Elizabeth's parents burgundy 1946 Ford. This was the same get-away car Elizabeth's parents drove off in on their wedding day. What a memory to cherish!

Their Love Story is Just Beginning!

It was truly an honor to be Elizabeth and Teaner's wedding coordinator. As I looked back through their wedding pictures- and tried to hold back my emotions- it reminded me why I do what I do. Seeing couples on the happiest day of their life is something that I get to be a part of! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Downey for trusting me with your day. Cheers to an abundant amount of happiness, love and lots of laughter!
